About CITRUS Practices
CITRUS Practices stands for Care, Intimacy, TRaUma-informed and Safer practices in the arts. They are a gathering of arts workers who first came together in 2020 who seek to infuse zest into enabling greater sustainability in the arts. By engaging with people and organisations – within and beyond the arts – CITRUS Practices connect and expand conversations around the structures and conditions of working in the arts today. Their shared horizon is for the arts to deeply care for, refresh and nourish both arts workers and audiences alike.

Join us for a heartwarming gathering combining a communal cooking experience, inspired by traditional recipes and facilitated by artist ila. Reflect on care practices in Singapore's arts landscape while preparing a shared meal, with Dr June Tan Sheren joining to enrich conversations through her holistic approach to artists’ well-being. Bring your culinary tools, festive spirit, and insights to this nourishing end-of-year gathering.

While running from project to project in your arts career, how do you find time and space for care? Rather than say “this is just how it is” or “that is how things have always been done“, where and how might we begin to work and live with less exhaustion and burnout? Is it really possible to ‘hustle’ with care in Singapore’s arts sector and creative economy?
At this community gathering, arts workers participating in CITRUS Fest will offer their imaginations and facilitate discussions of how we can concretely practice care through some small group activities.
