ASEAN Artists Residency Programme 2022

Organised by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)



For this special edition of AARP, the ASEAN Secretariat will partner with Maybank Foundation and Sharjah Art Foundation to support two artists to take part in a residency in Sharjah during EXPO 2020 Dubai in January 2022.

This programme will provide unique career opportunities for ASEAN artists and covers all residency expenses including international and local travel, studio space, exhibition space, public programmes, and other promotional activities for artists while they work in the Sharjah Art Foundation residency spaces.

Singapore Pavilion Ambassadors Programme 2022

The 59th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale 2022) will take place from 23 April to 27 November 2022. Established in 1895, it is the most established international contemporary art event and widely regarded as the most significant. This will be Singapore’s tenth time participating in the Biennale.

The National Arts Council is seeking individuals for the Ambassadors Programme at the Singapore Pavilion. A total of 10 Ambassadors will be selected for the Programme. The exhibition period will be divided into 5 periods of approximately 7 weeks each, with two Ambassadors assigned to each period.

Ambassadors will undertake various duties including providing administrative and technical support at the Singapore Pavilion. They will assist in managing the reception for the Singapore Pavilion, along with the general care and maintenance of the Pavilion. Responsibilities include handling visitor enquiries, distributing brochures and catalogues to visitors, and conducting occasional tours of the exhibition for VIP guests.


Batch 1: 18 April 2022 to 1 June 2022 (44 days)

Batch 2: 29 May 2022 to 17 July 2022 (49 days)

Batch 3: 14 July 2022 to 1 September 2022 (49 days)

Batch 4: 29 August 2022 to 17 October 2022 (49 days)

Batch 5: 14 October 2022 to 1 December 2022 (48 days)

The selected Ambassadors will be provided with accommodation, daily stipend and travel insurance from the Council to subsidise travel and living costs and ensure welfare and safety in Venice during their time there.

Ambassadors will be responsible for their own travel to and from Venice, Italy. Additionally, Ambassadors are responsible for their own expenses for quarantine isolation in Venice, as well as COVID-19 tests before and after quarantine isolation, as required by the prevailing guidelines set out for entry in Italy.
