The Arts Resource Hub (ARH) supports the professional development of arts Self-Employed Persons (SEPs) at different stages of their career journey. The ARH IGNITE Mentorship programme provides targeted development and meaningful opportunities for arts SEPs to connect and grow.

Navigating the arts industry as an independent or self-employed practitioner comes with its own unique challenges.

For those just starting out, the IGNITE Mentorship Programme is designed to help early-career artists and arts SEPs (those with less than five years of experience) build the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to thrive.

Now in its third edition, IGNITE Mentorship returns in June 2026, pairing participants with ten mentors spanning a range of arts disciplines and practices. Sessions cover a broad range of practical topics including goal-setting, marketing and branding, budgeting, and negotiations, with a strong emphasis on peer learning and sharings.

Mentees were selected through an interview process. And they will go through monthly group sessions featuring sharing by mentors and guest speakers, accessing networking opportunities and fostering communities of practice among participants.

Jeremiah's Group

Jeremiah Choy Theatre Maker Jeremiah Choy is a Creative Director, Producer, and Curator with close to 30 years of experience in Singapore's arts scene and an international footprint spanning Asia, Europe, and South Africa. He has directed and produced theatre, concerts, and major events including Singapore Day and Sing50. He is a recipient of the ST Life! Awards Best Supporting Actor (2019) and the inaugural Outstanding Kent Ridge Alumni Award (2010) and is also a committed advocate for freelancers in Singapore.	Darren Lim (Music) Darren Lim is a self-taught songwriter, producer, and musician whose work combines melodic songwriting, electronic production, and emotionally driven storytelling. With experience in film scoring and Dolby Atmos mixing, he draws inspiration from synth pop and K-pop, and hopes to build a sustainable career as an independent music practitioner.
Sarah Tang (Theatre) Sarah Tang is a producer focused on artist development, fundraising, and cross-cultural exchange. She supports artists working across borders and languages, with recent projects including touring DramaBox's When the Cloud Catches Colours to the UK and bringing Hong Kong playwright Candace Chong's May 35th to the UK.

Jeremiah Choy

Theatre Maker

Jeremiah Choy is a Creative Director, Producer, and Curator with close to 30 years of experience in Singapore's arts scene and an international footprint spanning Asia, Europe, and South Africa. He has directed and produced theatre, concerts, and major events including Singapore Day and Sing50. He is a recipient of the ST Life! Awards Best Supporting Actor (2019) and the inaugural Outstanding Kent Ridge Alumni Award (2010) and is also a committed advocate for freelancers in Singapore.

Darren Lim (Music)

Darren Lim is a self-taught songwriter, producer, and musician whose work combines melodic songwriting, electronic production, and emotionally driven storytelling. With experience in film scoring and Dolby Atmos mixing, he draws inspiration from synth pop and K-pop, and hopes to build a sustainable career as an independent music practitioner.

Sarah Tang (Theatre)

Sarah Tang is a producer focused on artist development, fundraising, and cross-cultural exchange. She supports artists working across borders and languages, with recent projects including touring DramaBox's When the Cloud Catches Colours to the UK and bringing Hong Kong playwright Candace Chong's May 35th to the UK.

Grace's Group

Grace Kalaiselvi Theatre Maker Grace Kalaiselvi is an independent theatre actor, director, educator, and writer working in English and Tamil. An alumna of the Intercultural Theatre Institute, she creates work for audiences of all ages, with a focus on representing suppressed and minority voices. Her credits span the Esplanade, SIFA, M1 Fringe Festival, and collaborations with Polyglot Theatre Australia and T:>Works. Whether on stage or in the studio, Krysta carries a message worth hearing and a heart always ready to listen. Passionate about work centred around children, he regularly performs in schools and Theatre for Young Audiences, and hopes to inspire the next generation through performing and teaching.

Judy Ngo Theatre Practitioner Judy is a bilingual theatre practitioner, Artistic Director of 1N THE ACT, and principal tutor for NUS OSACFA Chinese Drama. Her practice spans directing, writing, and performance, with recent works including 972 Happy Birthday Show and Chingay 2024 – Blossom. She has trained under David Diamond, Kok Heng Leun, Philippe Gaulier, Anne Bogart, and Keith Johnstone. Judy cherishes every opportunity to be in the theatre because she believes that theatre is life and life is for living.	Rachel Wong (Music) Rachel Wong (Rachel W.yen) is a Malaysian violinist, composer, and arranger based in Singapore. Known for site-specific and immersive experiences, her consultancy credits include Avatar: The Experience, Harry Potter: Visions of Magic, and Jurassic World. A Singapore International Foundation Fellow and Oxford Cultural Leaders Programme alumna, she founded the Young Storytellers Mentorship Programme and champions emerging artists across multiple mentorship platforms. The company produces inclusive musical events where professional musicians collaborate with artists with disabilities, reflecting Leslie's commitment to purpose-driven, community-centred work.

Niranjan's Group

P Niranjan Composer & Flautist Niranjan Pandian is an Indian bamboo flautist, composer-performer, and Founder and Artistic Director of Brahmastra Arts House. A NAC Arts Scholar and LASALLE graduate, he performs across classical, intercultural, and contemporary settings, with appearances at the 34th ASEAN Summit and World Expo Osaka. He supports community-driven initiatives as a speaker, lecturer, and mentor, and is a recipient of the Mandolin U. Shrinivas International Award (2022) and the NHB Outstanding Youth in Intangible Cultural Heritage Award (2026).	Tan Pheng Heong (Music) Tony is a classically trained pianist working towards a full-time music career. Passionate about using music to bring comfort, he performs weekly at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the National Cancer Institute, and hopes to extend his practice to hospices and eldercare centres.

Tong Xu Han is a filmmaker with a background in narrative filmmaking and experience in documentary and event videography. His practice explores how film's use of time, space, and perspective can give nuanced expression to the grey areas of the human condition

Ling Nah's Group

Tang Ling Nah Visual Artist Tang Ling Nah is a Singapore-based artist, educator, and curator whose work reflects on urban impermanence and the lack of intimacy in city life. She is also a licensed tour guide and runs Outspoken, a spoken-word competition.
Beatrice Low (Visual Arts) Beatrice Low is an interdisciplinary artist working across visual art, spatial design, and performance. Trained in visual arts at SOTA and architecture at the University of Nottingham, she explores how these disciplines intersect through set design and physical theatre with WUSHIREN Theatre.

Tang Ling Nah

Visual Artist

Tang Ling Nah is a Singapore-based artist, educator, and curator whose work reflects on urban impermanence and the lack of intimacy in city life. Working across charcoal, installation, book art, performance, and film, she explores architectural spaces as storytellers. Her immersive 360-degree videos probe identity and the illusion of space. She has received the NAC Young Artist Award (2004), the Philip Morris Singapore-ASEAN Art Awards Juror's Choice (2003), and the Della Butcher Award (2000).

Cheyenne Alexandria Phillips (Theatre)

Cheyenne Alexandria Phillips is a climate artist, writer, and theatre maker, and Associate Artist with Checkpoint Theatre. Her work spans performance, podcasting, and spoken word, informed by residencies in the Arctic, Panama, and the Amazon. She is also a licensed tour guide and runs Outspoken, a spoken-word competition.

Beatrice Low (Visual Arts)

Beatrice Low is an interdisciplinary artist working across visual art, spatial design, and performance. Trained in visual arts at SOTA and architecture at the University of Nottingham, she explores how these disciplines intersect through set design and physical theatre with WUSHIREN Theatre.

James' Group

James J Tay Theatre Producer James Tay is a theatre and events production manager with over two decades of experience spanning commercial, artistic, and community productions. He has produced multimedia works for Brian Gothong Tan, and notable projects for Robert Zhao including Albizia, commissioned by Esplanade, and Seeing Forest, shown at the 60th Venice Biennale in 2024. He served as SIFA's Head of Artist Liaison and is an adjunct lecturer at Republic Polytechnic.	Shen Xiaoman (Theatre) Shen Xiaoman (Ciel) is an emerging theatre and screen actor studying Psychology at NUS. Curious about human behaviour and emotion, she has performed with NUS Chinese Drama, KECD, and The Focus Theatre, and appeared across film and television. She seeks to create authentic, emotionally resonant performances.
Su Paing Tun (Theatre) Su Paing Tun is a Burmese-Chinese theatre practitioner, teaching artist, and founder of ALT STAGE. A LASALLE Acting graduate, she works across performance, drama education, and accessible theatre-making, creating space for different ways of learning, sensing, and participating.

James J Tay

Shen Xiaoman (Theatre)

Shen Xiaoman (Ciel) is an emerging theatre and screen actor studying Psychology at NUS. Curious about human behaviour and emotion, she has performed with NUS Chinese Drama, KECD, and The Focus Theatre, and appeared across film and television. She seeks to create authentic, emotionally resonant performances.

Su Paing Tun (Theatre)

Su Paing Tun is a Burmese-Chinese theatre practitioner, teaching artist, and founder of ALT STAGE. A LASALLE Acting graduate, she works across performance, drama education, and accessible theatre-making, creating space for different ways of learning, sensing, and participating.

The mentorship programme is conceptualised and produced by Jeffrey Tan, Theatre Director, Arts Educator, and Creative Producer.
