⌚ 7:00PM-9:00PM
📍 42 Waterloo Street
Whether you're a freelance singer, actor, or professional voice user, your voice is your livelihood. But how much do you really know about keeping it healthy for the long haul?
Get ready for an interactive evening of practical learning! Join us for the third session of ARH's Performing Arts Medicine Panel Series, where medical expertise meets hands-on experience.
What you'll learn: How to spot early warning signs of voice problems before they sideline you, practical vocal hygiene habits that actually make a difference, and how to plan for performances when you're not at 100%.
What to expect: Hands-on activities including a group warm-up and cool-down session and a take-home vocal recovery exercise, plus a look at hearing protection — an often-overlooked risk for performers working with bands and orchestras.
Our Expert Panel:
Dr Mandy Zhang (Moderator) – Sports Physician, Sport & Exercise Medicine, CGH
Clin A/Prof Peter Lu Kuo Sun – Senior Consultant, Otorhinolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, Changi General Hospital, highlighting the "red flags" of voice disorders and protecting your hearing.
Ms Geraldine Quek Huan Ting – Senior Speech Therapist, Rehabilitative Services, Changi General Hospital, exploring how your voice works and how to care for it.
Ms Akiko Otao – Vocal Educator & Artistic Director, The Voice Company, sharing about warming-up, breath support, and performing well even when you're not at your best.
Join us in comfortable attire with your water bottle!
